The autoclavable HVE Air Protect XL Plus from Air Techniques offers effective protection against aerosols. Its ergonomic design and the rotating, protective shield are unique. The shield can be effortlessly adapted to any treatment situation in which spray mist is generated and is particularly suited for treatments with prophy powders preventing irritation of the mucous membranes. The large opening through the protective shield allows for more aerosols and prophylaxis powder to be removed making it easy to use for treatments without an assistant.  Suction comfort is increased even on rubber dam applications.  Protective secondary air inlets provide the best possible protection against backflow from the suction system.

The HVE Y-Adapter converts a standard 11mm HVE opening to accommodate the 16 mm Air Protect XL and Air Protect XL Plus*

Applications

The Y-Adapter was specifically developed with the clinician in mind. You can use the larger 16mm Air Protect XL and Air Protect XL Plus as a single HVE or as an HVE/SE combo. Either way, the larger 16mm opening provides a greater reduction in aerosols.

1. The 16mm HVE collects a greater number of aerosols. Seal the small hole; insert Air Protect XL or Air Protect XL Plus; enjoy fewer aerosols. The saliva ejector is positioned in the oral cavity, while the HVE tip is located on the side of the mouth, reducing aerosols.
2. The HVE and SE combo provide comfort and protection during procedures when you want both. The Y-adaptor was specifically designed for clinicians working without an assistant that still wants the benefits of an HVE. The saliva ejector is placed in the small opening and placed in the oral cavity for liquid removal, while the Air Protect XL or Air Protect XL Plus, located on the side of the mouth,
   reduces aerosols.

• Visual fill line lets you know when your filter should be replaced
• Typically changed on an annual basis
• The three-stage filter easily twists on and off making replacement simple

• Replace the Intake Solids Collector monthly (or as needed) to ensure peak performance of  your equipment
• Caution: Solids collector may contain biologically hazardous material. Wear protective gloves. Dispose of waste in approved bio-hazard container
• Important: A worn or missing gasket and/or failure to tightly screw the bowl to the solids collector body will cause poor suction due to air leakage
